What happens after I download Listing AutomatEr?
You install it and sign in. The app needs an account, so with no account yet, start the 7 day free trial first. Posting starts once the Chrome extension, your brokerage and your Facebook login are set up.
Step one: install the app
On a Mac, open the downloaded file and drag Listing AutomatEr to your Applications folder. On Windows, run the installer. If Windows shows a protection notice, choose More info, then Run anyway. The Mac app is code signed and notarized by Apple, and the Windows installer is signed.
Step two: sign in or start the trial
The app asks for your email and password. With no account yet, go to the trial page, which asks for your state and then takes your card at Stripe's secure checkout. Your card is not charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime. No refunds.
Step three: add the Chrome extension and your brokerage
The app prompts you to install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. Google Chrome is required. Then add your brokerage in the app setup.
Step four: sign in to Facebook in Chrome
The app opens a Chrome window and uses it for posting. That window has to be signed in to your own Facebook account, because your posts go out from that account.
Step five: post a listing you have permission to market
Open Listings or the Map, filter to your brokerage or to the listings you have permission to market, confirm you have permission, then choose Post Now or Schedule. The app does not verify permission with anyone. A listing held by another brokerage needs written permission first, usually from its listing agent or managing broker.
Common questions
Can I use the app without an account?
No. You sign in to post, and a new account starts with the free trial.
Does it run on a phone?
No. It runs on a Mac or Windows computer, and the app needs to be open with the computer awake at post time.
Can I see a post before I install anything?
Yes. On the home page, type a street address in a live state and see the finished post. No signup.
