How do I post real estate listings on Facebook Marketplace as a realtor?

Post from your personal Facebook profile, only for listings you have permission to market, and make the post name both you and the brokerage that holds the listing. Your own brokerage's listings follow your brokerage's rules. Another brokerage's listing needs written permission first.

Step one: confirm the permission to market

Your own brokerage sets its own rules about marketing outside its channels, so check them first. For a home listed by a different brokerage, ask the listing agent or the managing broker in writing and keep the written yes. Permission comes from them, never from the platform and never from software.

Step two: post from your personal profile

Facebook Marketplace takes real estate posts from personal profiles. Open Marketplace, choose to create a listing, then pick the property category and fill in the home, the photos and the price.

Step three: name both parties

A compliant post says who is marketing the home and which brokerage holds the listing, plus a marketing on behalf of line. A reader should never have to guess whose listing it is.

Step four: answer the messages yourself

Buyers message you on Facebook. Anything you say about the home should match the listing record, and any representation conversation is between you and the buyer.

Common questions

Can I post any listing I find?

No. Post only listings you have permission to market. Your own brokerage's rules cover its inventory, and another brokerage's listing needs written permission from the listing agent or the managing broker.

Does Listing AutomatEr do this for me?

It builds and schedules the post, puts your name on it as the agent marketing the home, credits the listing brokerage and adds the disclosure line. It does not obtain permission. That part is the agent's job.
