What is the best way to post real estate listings on Facebook Marketplace?
It depends on how many listings you post. By hand costs nothing but your time and suits one or two homes. A posting tool saves the retyping, but only some write the listing brokerage credit and the disclosure for you. A social scheduler solves a different problem. A virtual assistant works if you will give clear instructions and check the posts. Whichever you pick, you post only listings you have permission to market.
We make Listing AutomatEr, so weigh our column accordingly. Everything about other options below comes from their own sites or a published cost guide, checked October 1, 2026, and where a site does not say something, this page says it does not say.
Pick by your situation
- One or two listings now and then: post by hand. It is free and you control every word.
- Many listings, and you want the attribution and disclosure written the same way every time: a posting tool that does that. Listing AutomatEr does, and has listing data in Arizona and Colorado.
- You already work from a listing page and only want the form filled: a posting extension may be enough. Check what it writes on the post.
- You want someone else to do it: a virtual assistant, with written instructions and a spot check of what goes up.
- A general social scheduler: good for Page and profile posts. Confirm Marketplace listings are supported before you rely on it.
The five options side by side
| By hand | Social scheduler | Marketplace posting extension | Virtual assistant | Listing AutomatEr | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Time per listing | The most. You enter every field and upload every photo each time. | Quick for ordinary posts. A Marketplace listing form is a different job, so confirm it is supported. | Fills the form fields from a listing page. One tool claims it saves 20 to 30 minutes per listing. | Yours to explain once, then their time per listing. | The post is built from the listing record, so you review instead of retyping. No per listing minutes figure is published. |
| Brokerage attribution and disclosure | Only what you type. Nothing checks it. | You write the caption yourself. | Varies. Of three tools checked, none describes a listing brokerage credit or a disclosure line on its own page. | Whatever you instruct and then check. | Every post names you as the agent marketing the home, credits the listing brokerage, and carries a marketing on behalf of line. |
| Scheduling | None built in. You post when you are at the keyboard. | Yes, scheduling is the core feature. | Varies. One tool describes paced posting while Chrome stays open. Others do not say. | Depends on their hours. | You set the schedule, up to 10 listings per account a day. The computer must be on and signed in. |
| Photos | You choose and upload. | You attach them. | Varies from nine curated photos to all photos on the source page. | Their pick, unless you specify. | Taken from the listing record and spread by room type: front, kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, yard. |
| Arizona and Colorado coverage | Any market. You supply the details. | Any market. You supply the details. | Not stated by the sites checked. They read from a listing page you open. | Any market. | Listing data is live in Arizona and Colorado. Agents in other states can request their state, and we can bring it live quickly. |
| Price | Free, plus your time. | Buffer's site advertises a free plan. Paid prices vary by tool. | Each tool sets its own price, so see their sites for current pricing. | Varies by country and experience, so see the cost guide linked below. | $199 a month billed monthly, or $149 a month billed yearly. 7 day free trial. |

Permission comes first, with any option
No tool, assistant or scheduler grants permission to market a listing. Your own brokerage sets its rules for its inventory. A home held by another brokerage needs written permission from the listing agent or the managing broker, naming the address and how long it lasts. Listing AutomatEr does not obtain permission for you. It handles the post, the attribution and the disclosure once you have the written yes. See how to get the permission.

Can a social media scheduler post real estate listings to Facebook Marketplace?
Schedulers are built around social posts. Buffer, for one, lists the networks it supports on its own site and does not list Marketplace listings as a post type. Check a scheduler's own documentation for Marketplace support before paying for it, and plan to write the attribution and the disclosure yourself.
What does a virtual assistant cost for posting listings?
Rates vary by country and experience, and a US based assistant costs more than an overseas one. See the VA Masters cost guide for current figures.
