For licensed agents
What does the listing courtesy line on a Marketplace post say?
Each post names the agent marketing the home, credits the brokerage that holds the listing as the listing brokerage, and carries a marketing on behalf of disclosure, so a reader always knows whose listing it is.
The three parts
First, Marketed by and your name. Second, Listing courtesy of and the listing brokerage. Third, a short line saying you are marketing the home on that brokerage's behalf with permission.
Why it matters
Real estate advertising rules expect a reader to know who is behind a listing. The credit line answers that in the post itself.
Who fills it in
The app adds the lines to every post it builds, using the brokerage named on the listing record. A listing with no brokerage name on record is held back from posting.
Common questions
Can I remove the line?
No. It is part of every post the app builds.
Is this legal advice?
No. Rules vary by state, so check your brokerage's rules and your state's.
